Grandpa Eddie's Alabama Rib & BBQ has added new items to the menu for Spring. We have added 7 wraps, a cheese quesadilla to the kids menu and a "BBQ Mary" (Bloody Mary made with our Birmingham BBQ Sauce and rimmed with our famous Back Rub)!

"We wanted to provide some lighter menu items for Spring, while still keeping our focus on providing a great value to our guests," said Owner/Pitmaster Carey M. Friedman. "Our Signature Wrap (which is not "light") is the 'Bear Bryant,' which has Pulled Pork, Smoked Brisket, Cheddar Cheese, Slaw, BBQ Sauce and Fries (inside the wrap)!"

Grandpa Eddie's is working hard to provide value to our guests. We are a local restaurant and want to take care of our local community. We have great $2 Happy Hour Specials, seven days a week. We also have $5 lunch specials Monday - Friday. "In these tough economic times, we know that our guests are watching their spending carefully. We want them to still be able to treat themselves to a meal out or some drinks after work, so we have some incredible menu values." Also, since our live music is always "all ages and no cover," families are encouraged to skip the babysitter and bring the family. There is no other music venue in Richmond to bring your kids.

We have also changed our chicken from a BBQ Chicken Breast to Smoked Pulled Chicken. The flavor and consistency are much better, with a light rub and a subtle, Hickory-smoked flavor. The new chicken is available on the BBQ Chopped Salad, BBQ Nachos, Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Wrap, Chicken Entrée and as an option on both the Kid's and Adult versions of our Sliders. The "Virginia State Championship Chicken", our famous smoked half chicken, did not change!

"As the weather has been great this Spring, we have already opened our patio, so come enjoy great BBQ, Music and Happy Hour Specials outside! Bring the family, we have special kid-sized picnic tables and lots of sidewalk chalk," said Friedman.

Our live music lineup for the Spring is really strong. We love featuring great local favorites, including "Page Wilson & Reckless Abandon," "The Taters," "Gray Gurkin & the Lost Souls," "The Cashmere Jungle Lords" and "The Velvet Marias." Live music is every Friday & Saturday, at 8:30 pm. There is never a cover and kids are welcome! Check the website for the full band lineup.

"Grandpa Eddie's" is open for lunch and dinner every day. Monday - Thursday 11:30 am - 10 pm, Friday & Saturday, 11:30 am - 11:59 pm and Sunday Noon - 8:00 pm. Everything is available "To Go."
